Upon visiting www.welcome-to.nl (the Website), your browser automatically sends NPE your IP address, the type of browser you are using and certain other information. The temporary storage of your IP address by the system is necessary to facilitate a delivery of the Website to your computer. The storage in log files is done to ensure the functioning of the Website. In addition, the data serve to optimize the website and ensure the security of our technical information systems.
Our website www.welcome-to.nl.nl (the Website), may use or request personal data, for example when you request to download the Relocation App by means of the registration form. The information includes first name, last name and e-mail address.
These personal details will not be saved on the website domain and will not be stored by NPE. These details will only be used to create an account for you on the Relocation App. Your account we be stored with our partner who hosts the Relocation App. We have entered into a data processing agreement with this party to ensure your information protection and privacy. Upon deleting your account all stored data will be removed.
The MapitOut tool indicates – at the user’s request – the range within a user’s specified travel time from a particular location (work, school) by the specified means of transport. This can help the user acquaint themselves with, for example, preferred residential locations.
Keep in mind that MapItOut is not a real-time tool. Before you make important decisions, such as renting/buying a house, choosing a school for your child or accepting a job, you are advised to try out the route yourself.

NPE processes the personal data listed below based on performance of a contract free of charge. This is because the MapItOut tool is a service that can be used without obligation as a user. In order to offer this service, it is necessary to process an IP address (functional cookie).
In order to provide the service, the following categories of personal data are processed:
Locations and travel ranges (travel times/distance) within the Netherlands entered by the user.
We have tried to make this tool as privacy friendly as possible. For example, TravelTime queries are anonymous and Google Analytics.
Sharing of personal data: no forwarding, no profiling, no automated decision-making
Personal data is exchanged with third parties only to the extent necessary to provide the requested service. A processing agreement is in place with the processor. Personal data is not processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA) as TravelTime queries are anonymous. No profiles are used and no automated decision-making as defined by Article 22 EU GDPR takes place.
Retention period: In order for the website to function properly, IP addresses are kept for 6 months.
The legal basis for processing personal data is to perform a task in the public interest. For functions not carried out in the performance of our public task, NPE will rely on its legitimate interests as a legal basis to process personal data in a proportionate and expected way. NPE provides the facility to opt-out of receiving communications in compliance with our obligations under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the GDPR Implementation Act and other applicable laws and regulations.

Cookies are used when you visit the Website. Cookies are small pieces of information transferred to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable NPE systems to recognize your preferences and settings. Cookies collect information such as the type of search engine used, the sections of the Website visited and other website usage information. NPE may use this information for research purposes and to enhance the Website. NPE uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service offered by Google Inc. (“Google”). We have taken measures to protect your privacy with respect to Google Analytics. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google. We agreed with Google that Google will use the collected information and statistics for the purposes of the Website, not for any Google’s own purposes. Furthermore, we have set up Google Analytics in such a way that the last part of your IP address is removed before processing by Google, thus further limiting the impact on your privacy. You can remove stored cookies, or decline the storing of new cookies. For more information on disabling cookies, go to the ‘help’ menu on your browser. Please note that the Website may still be viewed after disabling cookies.
To perform our task in the public interest we may need to share the data we collect with the members within the Talent Coalition network, our broad network of service providers and agencies. Privacy agreements have been made with our external partners to guarantee your privacy.
NPE does not store personal data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which this data was obtained, and to satisfy the applicable laws and regulations.
NPE complies with the GDPR by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure personal data. Government-wide agreements have been made in this area.
